A cult classic in the making!

Format: Kindle Edition
Full of spiritual, philosophical, and even primitive, elements that arouse all kinds of inspirational wondering, Still Human was a hard book to put down.
The world building, the character depth and their relationships with each other, the pace from majestic to suspenseful, all fit wonderfully with the symbolic underbelly of this intriguing story. Nothing was forced or unnecessary to 'fill space', everything served a purpose and advanced the story.
Still Human introduces the next logical step of humans and their space exploration, and that's space colonization, specifically with a familiar, but not so familiar, planet g159c.
Can't wait for the next one!

Thoughtful Sci-Fi with compelling characters

Format: Kindle Edition
This is a great sci-fi story with philosophical and environmental perspectives that deepen each of plot’s conflicts and give life to the characters. The world of this story is familiar enough to be frightening. The finish will leave you eager for the next installment.

A heavy dream
December 18, 2018
Format: Paperback
Still Human takes you on a journey into another world in the most spiritual and natural sense. At first you'll be hooked by the wonder of exploring a new world, but then you'll become lost in the surroundings of the familiar, yet alien landscapes of planet g159c. Underhill writes artfully like a sci-fi inspired Henry Thoreau.
I can't recommend more if you're looking for a dreamy, frightful, insightful read.

I loved this new view on science fiction/fantasy. It has the intrigue and suspense that comes with discovering a new planet and the life there, but it also has a refreshing show of spirituality and philosophy. Can’t wait to see where this adventure goes next!

I'm not a Sci-fi aficionado, but this one pulled me in. The transition to a new planet felt very believable. I appreciated the author's language mastery. Can 't wait to see what's next for Huston.

Loved this! Can’t wait for the follow ups!
"Still Human is a slow-paced, introspective, contemplative audio drama that excels at being tender in a genre that often veers towards harshness...(its) protagonist is not a struggling-but-confident protagonist. Houston is a hesitant, anxious, but open-minded protagonist who doesn’t look into his struggles with confidence, but with anxious acceptance. There’s a fragility to him that seems shockingly absent from most other science fiction. As Houston continues discovering more about this planet and the alien race that inhabits it, he embraces everything with a tentative optimism. When communicating with the aliens–which he eventually dubs Clouds–for the first time, there’s a genuine joy to his voice over the undercurrent of fear. One of the first things Houston says is that he’s on this mission to “explore a new perspective of the universe,” and his reverence for it seems like his core characteristic..."

"A very descriptive audio drama set in the colonization of an alien planet (g159c). The narrations paint vivid imagery of the alien life and compares earth experiences with these encounters. It’s hard not to hang on every word."

"I am really enjoying this podcast. The storytelling is wonderful and the acting is great. This is a new take on the colonization of an alien planet and how humans interact with alien species. I really can't wait to find out what will happen next."

"Wow so glad I found this podcast. The sound design is amazing and it feels like you're in an audio version of a Hollywood movie. Addicted already and can't wait for more."

"This show offers you the opportunity to reflect on how a human encounter with an alien species could end up fine- or as catastrophic as other human colonizations have on earth."
